PLAYMCLA’s 2017 California Showcase is a unique event designed by current MCLA Coaches for aspiring MCLA players. One whose focus is to promote all that the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association provides for a great many collegiate athletes. The goal of this unique tournament is to put on a first-class event that highlights the MCLA as a nationally competitive alternative for aspiring collegiate student-athletes.
Registered players will be divided into separate teams and coached by MCLA coaches throughout the two-day showcase tournament. Rosters will be kept small to maximize playing time for each athlete. After all teams have finished competing during the first day of the event, all student-athletes and families will be invited for a “Meet & Greet Session” with all attending MCLA Institutions, late Saturday afternoon. Optional campus tours will be offered at nearby MCLA schools throughout the weekend.
There are over 200 teams participating in the MCLA. Throughout the entire event, current Division 1 and Division 2 MCLA coaches will be in attendance observing and evaluating players. Recruiters and staff from many programs will also be on hand to answer questions that players and families may have about competing in the MCLA.
